VVG is seeking an experienced Parts Specialist with a background in the trucking industry to join our team in Whittier, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm! What You’ll Do: The Trailer Parts Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while identifying, sourcing, and selling parts for a wide range of commercial trailers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience or strong product knowledge of Wabash, Utility, Great Dane, Hyundai, Vanguard, and Stoughton trailers. This role supports both counter and phone sales, works closely with service teams, and helps ensure customers receive accurate parts solutions quickly and efficiently. Additionally, you can expect to participate in customer visits alongside sales representatives and management. These ride-alongs provide valuable insight into customer needs, product applications, and our overall service approach.

Requirements

Prior experience in trailer parts sales, commercial truck/trailer parts, or dealership/aftermarket environment required.
Knowledge of Wabash, Utility, Great Dane, Hyundai, Vanguard, and Stoughton trailer components highly preferred.
Strong understanding of suspensions, lighting, brakes, doors, flooring, body panels, and other trailer systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to read parts diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
Proficiency with parts lookup systems, Microsoft Office, and POS/ERP platforms.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist walk-in, phone, and email customers with trailer parts inquiries and orders.
Identify and source required parts using catalogs, OEM systems, and vendor resources.
Maintain knowledge of trailer makes including Wabash, Utility, Great Dane, Hyundai Translead, Vanguard, and Stoughton to recommend appropriate parts and alternatives.
Generate sales quotes and process orders accurately within the POS/ERP system.
Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers, service departments, and vendors.
Manage inventory levels, assist with stock orders, and help maintain an organized parts department.
Follow up on open quotes, backorders, and special-order items.
Promote add-on sales and upsell products when appropriate.
Support inside and outside sales efforts as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and industry standards.
