Parts Driver
About The Position
Bailey sold its first forklift in 1949. Since then Baily has been a family-owned and operated business dedicated to selling, leasing, renting, servicing, and providing parts for forklift trucks throughout the southeast. The Parts Driver is responsible for safely delivering parts to our local customers and picking parts up from local vendors. The Parts Driver will also work with other Parts Department staff to stock parts, load and unload trucks, and assist with annual inventory. The person in this role will help with keeping the Parts Department clean and organized, will support all branch shipping and receiving, and may work on other parts or service related projects as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Safe driving record
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Willingness to adapt, learn, and take direction
- Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace
- Good, safe work habits
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without an accommodation
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Safely and timely deliver parts to customers while providing the best in class customer service at all times.
- Safely and timely pick parts up from local vendors to support excellent customer service and timely repairs.
- Working with other parts staff, accurately and safely stock parts in the branch Parts Department
- Safely assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Assist Parts Department inventory
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the Parts Department to help ensure staff can quickly find parts
- Support all branch shipping and receiving including Bailey’s interoffice courier service
- Perform other duties on an as needed basis
