About The Position

The Parts Distribution Center (PDC) Plant Manager has responsibility for the overall results of the warehouse, including customer satisfaction, increasing employee productivity, and ensuring safety while maintaining quality standards. We are seeking a strategic and innovative individual with experience leading others within the Supply Chain, Warehousing and Fulfillment industry that is adept at using their leadership and management skills to lead all aspects of warehouse operations with a focus on Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement and Communications. Why This Role Matters Scale & Impact: Lead a high-volume, technologically advanced PDC that plays a pivotal role in GM's global parts distribution network. The site is preparing for major transformational change in the coming months and requires a leader who can drive execution-delivering projects, meeting deadlines, and achieving key milestones-while also empowering the team to embrace the change and remain engaged throughout the transition Innovation & Transformation: Drive operational excellence in a dynamic environment leveraging automation, robotics, and advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Leadership Visibility: This position offers significant exposure and growth potential within GM's executive trajectory. What You'll Lead Full site ownership across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Employee Engagement. Manage a large, unionized workforce of salaried and hourly employees, fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee capital budgets, operating budgets, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with GM Safety and GMS Manufacturing Practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, change management, and technology adoption (Infor WMS, ASRS). Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Dangerous Goods standards. Collaborate across the CCA network to align site performance with broader business goals.

Requirements

Must have 6+ years of Parts Distribution Center experience managing salaried and hourly employees
Bachelor's degree
Experience leading IMS/WMS facilities
Excellent Communication skills
Experience in leading GMS or equivalent principles
High level of analytical and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Ability to work cross functionally within CCA and GM, lead change, with a result focused One Team approach.
Strong emphasis in Safety (Workplace and Employee)
Focus to drive change
The ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining effectiveness in a dynamic, often chaotic environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, inclusive of understanding the audience, getting the message across, presenting information effectively, and communicating openly.

Ability to build strong relationships, develop teams, and think in a strategic manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and capacity to develop, maintain and analyze data.

Responsibilities

Accountable for safety, quality, warehouse cost, labor utilization, productivity, yield, effective asset utilization and results of Operations Cost Improvement initiatives.
Focusing on ensuring a safe, accident-free warehouse operation, while increasing productivity and exceeding employee satisfaction and warehouse objectives.
Ensures adherence with the GM's Safety practices and the GMS Manufacturing Practices.
Set and meet all Health and Safety targets.

Responsible (together with Technical Manager) for the plants maintenance and upkeep, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Meet or exceed customer service level targets in accordance with internal and external audit targets, including Dangerous Goods, Environmental & Health and Safety.
Responsible for promoting continuous improvement and implementing change (Change Management).
