About The Position

The Parts Department Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers looking for parts for their machines by phone, email, and in person. The Parts Department Customer Service Representative will be the liaison between the customer, technician, and vendors, ensuring that the parts they need are identified, ordered, and installed.

Requirements

  • History of using manuals and diagrams to identify parts that a customer needs.
  • Ability to multitask and be organized.
  • At least 2 years of corporate customer service experience.
  • Ability to be proactive during downtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Order entry experience in the automotive industry or any related heavy machinery industry.
  • Parts Department Customer Service Representative experience (having worked at a parts counter).

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones for customers looking for parts.
  • Help in-person customers looking for parts at our parts counter.
  • Answer emails regarding parts orders.
  • Process parts orders from technicians by placing orders with different vendors.
  • Process parts orders from different vendors for warehouse stock.
  • Follow up with vendors on pending parts orders.
  • Processing warranties for parts replaced.
  • Process returns for parts not needed.
  • Process repair orders for third-party repair vendors.
  • Process quotes for work orders technicians diagnosed that require additional parts.
  • Find part numbers by reading manuals.
