Parts Department Apprentice - Clay, NY
About The Position
Davidson Ford of Clay is looking for someone interested in learning the world of parts! We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, motivation, good organizational skills, time management, and a willingness to learn. This position will learn all aspects of the Parts department, beginning with the shipping and receiving area, with a pathway to becoming a Parts Counterperson! Requirements
- Have an interest in learning the automotive and parts industry.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Be a problem solving multi-tasker.
- Be able to work well in a team environment.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Be comfortable and proficient with technology and learning new systems.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive or parts experience.
- Prior experience in sales, retail, customer service, or administrative.
Responsibilities
- Receiving parts and placing them correctly.
- Preparing orders.
- Dispatching parts to the technicians in the Service department.
- Learning inventory management.
- Organizing the parts room as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
