About The Position

TransChicago Truck Group is a family-owned, fast-growing full-service commercial truck dealership representing Freightliner and Western Star, providing sales, service, and parts for commercial trucks. The company values curiosity, teamwork, and growth. The Parts Delivery & Warehouse Associate will be responsible for picking tickets, preparing items for runs, and delivering parts to customers. This role operates Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Previous commercial driving experience required.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver parts to customers, wholesale accounts, and suppliers.
  • Check before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery.
  • Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Check payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Request recipient’s signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and retail accounts.
  • Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location and ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.
  • Update incoming stock and incoming inter-branch shipment packing slips in computer and generate appropriate picking lists and reports as needed.
