Proficiency in basic software for tracking deliveries and maintaining records is crucial, as you will keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Excellent communication skills will enable you to check in with the parts manager, body shop, and other key personnel to coordinate any last-minute needs. Being proactive and adaptable will serve you well when assisting with pulling customer orders or stocking new shipments. Your problem-solving mindset will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring all deliveries meet customer expectations.

Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.

Assist with pulling customer order(s) when requested.
Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
Checks with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians.

Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians, satellite stores, and wholesale accounts.
Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
