A successful Parts Counter person will be committed to delivering top-notch customer service at Max Motors Dealership. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and focused on ensuring customer needs are satisfied promptly and accurately. A key aspect of this role is outstanding communication. The Parts Counter employee will liaise between customers and staff, ensuring that all parts requests are answered promptly and accurately. The successful Parts Counter candidate will be competent in parts identification and can work under pressure while displaying a professional and positive attitude at all times. Requirements

  • Prior experience in automotive or heavy equipment parts counter or related role is critical.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a relevant field is desirable.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and order processing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to discuss technical specifics with customers and staff.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, bend, reach, and kneel.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the parts inventory and anticipate parts needs for timely ordering.
  • Receive and fill telephone orders for parts by interacting with customers to identify their needs.
  • Ensure correct parts selection by consulting catalogs and other references.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the parts inventory.
  • Supply technicians with the necessary parts effectively and efficiently.
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts and ensure customers are informed about the status of their orders.
  • Complete and process paperwork related to parts deliveries, returns and warranty claims.
