About The Position
Parts Counterperson Job Summary: The Parts Counterperson at DELLA Auto Group is a vital role within our organization, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of parts orders and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. As a Full Time - hourly Technician / Skilled Labor / Contractor, this individual will play a key role in supporting our service center and sales teams by maintaining an efficient and well-stocked parts inventory. This position will be located in Queensbury, New York and will report directly to the Parts Manager. Compensation & Benefits: This is a Full Time - hourly position, paid on a weekly basis. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information from manuals and electronic sources
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and procedures
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous parts counter experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone in a prompt and friendly manner
- Listen to and understand customer needs to accurately identify and locate required parts
- Utilize computerized inventory system to ensure the availability of parts and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with service technicians to determine the correct parts needed for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of parts orders and sales, including tracking back-ordered and special order items
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is on hand to meet customer demand
- Process returns and exchanges following company policies and procedures
- Keep parts department and work area clean and organized
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager
