About The Position

Cumberland International Trucks, Inc. is seeking an energetic & motivated Parts Counter Salesperson who thinks outside the box to join our growing team in Ocala, FL. Among greeting & quoting customers, inventory checks, up selling parts & building business, etc., working as part of a team is a pivotal part of this position. The Parts Counter Salesperson will assist Parts & Warehouse coworkers in greeting and serving our customers promptly and efficiently, providing excellent service that keeps customers returning. We incentivize based on performance with monthly bonuses if internal goals are met. 2+ years customer service experience required; dealership, parts &/or warehouse experience desired.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Customer Service experience is necessary.
  • Appreciation for teamwork and sincere desire to contribute as a part of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including an awareness of others and an effective listening ability.
  • Team player with professional and positive attitude
  • High School degree or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics is preferred.
  • Parts department experience, particularly in a truck dealership or truck aftermarket environment is a plus.
  • Trade school education in Parts Operations or Transportation Technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer parts or information requests quickly
  • Recording information carefully and identifying needed parts using most efficient method
  • Determining availability and price information, documenting this as necessary
  • Upselling parts that benefit customer need(s); ability to adapt quickly and willingness for advancement.
  • Increasing aftermarket parts sales, fleet parts sales profitability and overall broaden dealership company base.
  • Maintain consistent contact with dealership customers, while developing new leads and business (phone and in person)
  • Receiving incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, handling daily transactions
  • Help maintain parts showroom displays, parts catalogs and parts counter area in a presentable manner.
  • Continuing education: staying up to date on regular company training.
  • Assisting other counterpersons with above tasks as possible
