About The Position

Wallwork Truck Center is currently hiring for our Parts Counter Sales position to join our team working Monday-Friday 12pm-9pm . Pay: $19 to $20 an hour plus commission. Annual potential of 50k+ for the right candidate. This is a customer facing position, so the job requires great people skills with a customer first attitude, and at least one year of heavy duty part sales. This position does require a basic understanding of computers. JOB SUMMARY The Parts Counter Sales position performs a variety of customer service, in store, marketing, promoting, advertising and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale and delivery of parts and accessories. This position contributes to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealerships parts department. This position has ongoing responsibility for assisting with the counter parts sales and customer service responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years’ experience required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. One year experience in heavy truck parts industry and/or sales. Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities: Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Basic Computer Skills Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): No supervisory responsibilities required with this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales. Maintain customer goodwill. Verify receiving shipments by checking order against packing list. Assist in keeping parts are clean and shelf section area stocked and orderly. Follow-up on shortages and expedite through reporting to parts manager. Supply service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable). Must be able to do heavy lifting of equipment parts and tools as required from time to time. Able to follow directions from a supervisor. Able to interact effectively with co-workers. Must be able to work independently as well as be a team player with the department. Able to understand and comply with posted rules and procedures. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance. Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor. Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
