About The Position

Don Wood Chevrolet Buick and Cadillac is a reputable automotive dealership committed to delivering excellent customer service and quality automotive products. We are currently looking to hire a professional, detail-oriented Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our Parts Department.

Requirements

  • One to two years of prior automotive parts experience in retail or dealership settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive components and parts applications.
  • Proficient computer skills including typing and familiarity with electronic systems; ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on professionalism and customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, especially in inventory control and parts management.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful and professional customer service across all communication channels including in person, phone, email, text, and delivery interactions.
  • Assist customers and internal staff with accurate parts identification, ordering, and product information.
  • Perform cashiering and money-handling duties with accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage inventory tasks such as receiving, stocking, organizing, cycle counts, and maintaining precise records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Use internal software systems for order processing, inventory control, and communications efficiently.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments including packaging, labeling, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge of automotive parts to support customers and department needs.
  • Pick up and deliver parts to various businesses, ensuring professional and safe handling.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous demands such as phone calls, online orders, counter sales, and service department requests efficiently.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
