About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Parts Counter Sales Associate in South Hill, Virginia. This Parts Counter Sales Associate position is an entry level role, specifically focused on developing the needed skills and expertise to meet the requirement of Instore Sales A - Parts. Specifically through assisting customers to identify and order parts, effectively marketing parts and service sales, responding to all customer parts inquiries, and properly processing parts orders.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in a customer facing service role.
• Technical aptitude.
• Self-starter with the ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Exceptional customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build solid relationships.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft products and ability to learn Caterpillar's Dealer Business System (DBS).
• Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet business and customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to identify and order parts.
• Effectively market parts and service sales.

• Provide overflow support via phone/email for other stores.
