About The Position

The Parts Counter Professional is responsible for providing excellent service to customers both at the counter and over the phone. This role involves supplying parts for the service department and other dealership departments, as well as recommending additional related or needed parts or accessories. The professional will process orders in a timely and accurate manner, communicate with customers regarding pick-up or delivery status, and locate and obtain in-stock, out-of-stock, and non-stocked merchandise for customers. Maintaining inventory integrity is crucial, which includes verifying and receipting shipments, placing parts in their proper inventory locations, assisting in cycle counts, and following up on inventory discrepancies. Additionally, the Parts Counter Professional will assist in maintaining a professional showroom image and merchandise displays.

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience with parts sales preferred
  • Experience connecting with customers and establishing rapport
  • Understanding of the selling processes
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Able to bend, lift and carry
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent service to customers at the counter and on the phone

  • Maintains inventory integrity by verifying and receipting-in of shipments, placing parts in their proper inventory locations, assisting in cycle counts, following up on inventory discrepancies, and expediting issues by reporting to the department manager
  • Assists with maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Maintains a tidy, professional personal appearance
  • Reports to work on time
  • Employs good time-management skills and has the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates good work ethic
  • Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
  • Maintains positive, professional working relationships dealership wide
