Under the direction of the Parts Operations Manager, this position sells a wide variety of parts to phone and walk-in customers, performs clerical and back-order functions as required and may fill in for the warehouse when needed. The role involves assuring correct part numbers are supplied for specific machine or component models, determining if customers have ordered enough parts and suggesting related or additional items, and being aware of sales opportunities for changeover groups and special attachments. The advisor actively participates in all parts sales programs, inputs sales orders with maximum accuracy, informs customers about stock and backorder status, and follows up on all orders to ensure prompt service. Additionally, the position requires studying manufacturer parts bulletins to stay informed, completing assigned training courses, providing customer service or call-ins after normal working hours when required, and keeping Management informed on customer service matters. The Parts Counter Advisor is expected to contribute to a team effort and perform other duties as assigned by management.
