About The Position

The
Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of parts and materials needed to keep operations running smoothly. The role bridges maintenance, vendors, and inventory to ensure the right parts are available at the right time and cost.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification preferred
• Previous experience in parts coordination, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move parts as required (may include standing, bending, and lifting)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, construction, or equipment service environments
• Knowledge of part numbering systems and vendor catalogs
• Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, and issue parts for maintenance and repair needs
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct cycle counts
• Source parts from vendors and negotiate pricing and lead times
• Track backorders, warranties, and core returns
• Verify part numbers, compatibility, and specifications
• Coordinate with mechanics/technicians to prioritize urgent repairs
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and credits
• Maintain records in inventory or CMMS/ERP systems
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
• Reduce downtime by proactively stocking critical parts
• Communicate with maintenance team about upcoming repairs
• Check stock levels and reorder low-inventory items
• Receive shipments and inspect for accuracy and damage
• Update inventory systems and paperwork
• Handle vendor calls, quotes, and delivery follow-ups
