About The Position

The Parts Coordinator 1 is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of spare parts and consumables within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), coordinating material requirements with the Maintenance Planner and team, and managing the procurement process from requisition creation to physical receipt of materials. This role involves ensuring packing slip accuracy, processing RMAs, and maintaining organized parts rooms. Adherence to safety protocols and company regulations is paramount, ensuring a safe work environment and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Communication: The ability to express ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and project management.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies. Examples include quality control, proofreading, and precision in execution.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle History for business travel in company vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to quickly obtain one as a condition of employment)
  • Maintenance or warehouse background preferred
  • Previous experience in parts coordination, inventory management, or procurement in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Examples include critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis.
  • Creativity: The ability to think outside the box, develop innovative solutions, and create new ideas. Examples include brainstorming, design thinking, and creative problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and consumables in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and perform cycle counts as required
  • Update work orders from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as parts are received
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planner and Maintenance team to fulfill material requirements.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions with all pertinent information
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure packing slip accuracy and physically receive materials to ensure correct items arrive in good condition and free of damage
  • Ability to process RMA’s
  • Ensure main parts room and all satellite parts rooms are clean, labeled, identified and organized
  • Generate and revise tags for inventory needs
  • Ensure parts available for scheduled work
