About The Position

The Parts Supervisor at Atlas Energy Solutions is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient ordering, organization, and distribution of parts while maintaining optimal stock levels. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of inventory systems to provide excellent service to internal teams and customers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in parts management, inventory control, or warehouse operations (minimum 3+ years preferred).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a parts department or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, databases, and software (e.g., ERP, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing and training staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific parts (e.g., automotive, construction, manufacturing) is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in inventory management or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring that all functions run smoothly.
  • Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Ensure timely ordering and procurement of parts and materials to meet operational needs, while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of parts clerks and inventory staff to ensure high performance, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, production, and customer service) to understand their parts requirements and ensure parts are available when needed.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory management processes, ensuring the accuracy and availability of parts.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, focusing on controlling inventory costs and reducing waste.
  • Handle and resolve any discrepancies, shortages, or issues related to parts inventory, working closely with suppliers and vendors to find solutions.
  • Maintain and update the parts catalog and inventory database to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct audits of inventory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal and external inquiries, assisting with parts requests, and addressing issues.
  • Prepare reports related to parts inventory, usage, and department performance for senior management.
