General Summary The Business Intelligence Specialist Parts plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making and operational excellence across the Parts and Service Division. This role serves as a strategic decision maker, collaborating closely with internal teams, and MPA (Mobis Parts America) and HAEA (Hyundai AutoEver) leadership. This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of business initiatives by transforming complex data into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, support financial objectives, and enhance dealer and customer satisfaction. This role will be using data intelligence and resulting insights to improve parts and accessories pricing, parts policies, MPA operations, core return programs, dealer and field support, sales trends, and sales support programs (like the collision conquest programs) to maximize KUS Parts business performance. This role is to be a subject matter expert in business intelligence and data through advanced analytics performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. This specialist identifies growth opportunities, ensures system integrity, and delivers scalable solutions that align with divisional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related business field or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
  • 2-4 years of service parts or similar business experiences preferred.
  • 3+ years in leadership capacity or as a Senior individual contributor
  • 5-7 years of data analysis and information systems experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience in a number of business disciplines such as business operations, project management and information technology with proven ability and record of success.
  • Demonstrated experience in business improvements through data mastery.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of the automotive parts supply chain and industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills and ability to apply AI/ML techniques to enhance data analysis and predictive forecasting.
  • Proven ability to lead the development of advanced dashboards, reporting tools, and visualizations that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Experience with enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, SAS, Tableau), enabling integration of disparate data sources and scalable analytics solutions. Advanced SQL is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives tailored to executive and operational audiences.
  • Solid understanding of database systems and data warehousing concepts, familiarity with accessing multiple and disparate data sources to feed analysis.
  • A general understanding of data security and privacy.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and resolve multiple tasks.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and technological advancements.
  • Independent decision-making to determine final resolution approach.
  • Ability to coordinate with other groups to implement the necessary solutions.

  • Understanding of the automotive parts supply chain and industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Advanced SQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison and key decision maker to internal and external stakeholders (MPA and HAEA), providing actionable insights and solutions that support Parts business operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and Service Division stakeholders to define and implement a unified data strategy and architecture that ensures consistency, accuracy, and scalability for the launch of the Global ERP.
  • Direct system and enhancement decisions using business impact analysis and data integrity metrics (e.g., Parts Loyalty Dashboard, Monthly MPA PDC Operations and Supply Performance KPIs, PartsEye Performance - Dealer Inventory readiness).
  • Own the strategic roadmap and execution of Parts systems initiatives which include Global ERP and improvements to the parts pricing system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term digital transformation goals.
  • Lead strategic oversight and continuous optimization of key Parts business processes to identify improvement opportunities, set performance benchmarks, and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Ensure initiatives support divisional goals by implementing scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across the Parts and Service Division.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure initiatives are aligned with divisional and organizational goals and deliver measurable impact on Service operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the intake and fulfillment of ad-hoc data requests, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business priorities. Use data visualization and storytelling to communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Use historical trends, predictive models, and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities, optimize pricing strategies to improve parts sales & profitability.
