About The Position

Reata Engineering & Machine Works Inc. (“Reata”), a state-of-the-art contract manufacturer specializing in comprehensive machining and assembly services, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parts Assembler to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that assembled components meet our rigorous quality standards and are delivered to customers on time. As a Parts Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing components and finished products according to specifications. You will play a critical role in supporting production by ensuring that all assemblies meet quality and performance standards. The ideal Parts Assembler is highly detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient. They have excellent manual dexterity, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in assembly or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical documents. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality, with the ability to detect and address assembly or quality issues.
  • Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise assembly tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Basic verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Component Assembly: Assemble parts and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications. Ensure all assemblies are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and functionality. Perform tests to ensure products meet required performance standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately document assembly and inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformances. Maintain records of completed work.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the production team to ensure that all necessary materials and components are available. Notify supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean assembly tools and equipment. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
