  • Seek and obtain thorough knowledge of parts history, merchandise, and automobile service.
  • Work with the parts and accessories manager to reach set goals for profitability and sales.
  • Keep customer mailing lists up to date.
  • Assist customers in determining parts and accessories needs and explore merchandise in catalogs.
  • Draw attention to new merchandise, specials, and sales, and suggest supplementary products.
  • Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly.
  • Inform customers and dealership staff about new merchandise, specials, and sales.
  • Handle customer complaints with empathy and a pleasant attitude.
  • Ensure accuracy in cash register transactions and payments.
  • Verify merchandise upon delivery and record it into inventory.
  • Prepare products for presentation on the showroom floor.
  • Maintain clean and appealing merchandise displays.
  • Become proficient with computer systems necessary for parts management.
  • Periodically carry out physical inventory of merchandise.
