About The Position

This is a job working for Big Tex Trailer World. The Parts Advisor will assist in maintaining all aspects of the sales department of the Dealership, including all parts and trailer sales. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers at the parts counter, identifying their needs, recommending suitable parts, and processing transactions accurately. The role also involves managing inventory, placing orders, conducting stock checks, and coordinating with the service department to ensure timely parts delivery for service jobs. Additionally, the Parts Advisor will handle inbound and outbound sales calls, prepare sales paperwork, and contribute to maintaining the general appearance and organization of the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • May substitute three (3) years of commissioned sales experience
  • Valid Drivers License

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years commissioned sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers at the parts counter with a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor.
  • Utilize expertise to identify customer needs and recommend suitable parts.
  • Process parts transaction accurately and efficiently (utilize cash register and My Trailer Force (MTF)).
  • Answer inbound calls, makes outbound and follow up sales calls.
  • Prepare sales paperwork and invoices.
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments.
  • Maintain organized inventory and update stock levels.
  • Place orders for parts to replenish stock, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Keep current with industry trends and updates
  • Monitor customer buying habits to adjust minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stock checks (cycle count) and collaborate with the team to prevent shortages.
  • Address customer inquiries promptly and provide detailed information about parts.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in locating and ordering special or hard-to-find parts.
  • Work closely with service department to identify and order parts required for service jobs.
  • Coordinate efficiently to meet service job timelines.
  • Assist in service scheduling.
  • Assist in maintaining the general appearance and organization of the offices and facility.
