About The Position

Plug and Play Tech Center is the largest global technology startup accelerator. With 25 industry specific programs run annually, we match make startups with corporate leaders, such as Walmart, Deutsche Bank, and Daimler. We also work with more than 50 Japanese corporations, such as Mitsubishi Electric, All Nippon Airways, Tokio Marine Insurance, and Kajima Corporation. With over 60 global locations, Plug and Play is searching for new team members to join our growing team. We're actively seeking a Japanese Partner Success Associate to continuously deliver value to our partners under Enterprise & AI vertical. An ideal candidate is highly strategic, ambitious, detail oriented, and able to effectively influence both within the organization and with our external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in partner management, a client facing role, or a related role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong process and analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and create improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, relationship management and proficiency in public speaking.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and build strong relationships.
  • Native or business professional Japanese, in both speaking and writing.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Startup experience and project management experience and or industrial knowledge within AI, CyberSecurity and Fintech.
  • Passion for startups, venture capital, or corporate innovation.
  • Understanding of Japanese business culture and corporate structures.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders within our partner organizations to generate adoption, renewals, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Devise engagement plans that consider partner business goals, internal organization structures, and map products and services to achieve these goals.
  • Facilitate successful on-boarding of new customers and establish key metrics of success.
  • Drive escalation of client issues, coordinate key resources in the escalation process, and assist with client issues through resolution.
  • Host events, track corporate participation with high attention to detail and design new ways to increase corporate engagement.
  • Schedule and facilitate bi-weekly calls and participate in planning corporate facing events.
  • Be the liaison between our Sunnyvale headquarter and Japan branch (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto).
  • Conduct all above in both Japanese and in English.
