About The Position

The Partner in the National Security Practice at StoneTurn Group LLP is responsible for leading business development efforts and managing client engagements related to investigations and compliance in areas such as financial crimes, CFIUS, sanctions, and export controls. This role requires collaboration with other partners to enhance the firm's profile in the national security market and drive client acquisition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business; graduate level education encouraged.
  • 10-15+ years of relevant experience in public services or consulting related to national security.
  • Strong relationships with clients in law firms, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Demonstrable track record of winning business and maintaining a portable book of business.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and execute strategies that meet or exceed objectives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to speak authoritatively on national security matters.
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong ability to connect the dots and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute strategic marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Research and identify opportunities to expand the existing client base.
  • Lead the proposal process for engagements, including budget preparation.
  • Win and manage projects related to national security matters.
  • Produce thought leadership on key business issues impacting national security.
  • Attend industry events and hold webinars for clients on relevant topics.
  • Effectively manage risks associated with engagements.
  • Direct management in reviewing and summarizing client documents and reports.
  • Lead the creation and development of client deliverables and present findings.
  • Accountable for managing multiple priorities and ensuring quality control of client deliverables.
  • Facilitate client and internal team meetings to document objectives and requirements.
  • Mentor and develop senior leadership within the firm.
  • Manage engagement administration, including billing and conflict checks.
