About the position

As a Partner Manager at Benchling, you will play a critical role in expanding and managing our partner ecosystem to drive customer success and business growth. You will collaborate with a diverse range of partners, including Global System Integrators, Consulting firms, Boutique Partners in Life Sciences space, Cloud providers and other strategic alliances. This role requires excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to align partner activities with Benchling's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify, onboard, and manage partners that align with Benchling's business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define partnership objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual value creation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, managing day-to-day communications and escalations.
  • Identify joint go-to-market opportunities and work with partners to execute co-marketing and co-selling initiatives.
  • Equip partners with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively promote and integrate Benchling's platform.
  • Facilitate training sessions, share best practices, and provide ongoing support to ensure partner success.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams to align partner strategies with broader company objectives.
  • Provide feedback from partners to inform product development and roadmap priorities.
  • Monitor partner performance against KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Regularly report on partner contributions to customer success, market expansion and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in partner management, business development, or related roles in the life sciences or SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful partner relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
  • Results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
