We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist I to provide general administrative support for the Employee Relations function, to include, but not limited to electronic file maintenance, review and processing of designated terminations, completion of standard separation agreements as requested, employee relations intake and assignment/escalation as needed, daily administrative support, and other administrative duties as assigned; assists with and/or responds to Tier 1 employee relations questions; and assists with and/or handles Tier 1 employee relations investigations with appropriate oversight. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration.
  • Intermediate Level Microsoft Office Applications with Word/Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and exceptional customer services skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Paramount sensitivity to and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to work effectively with management.

Responsibilities

  • Processing unemployment claims and coordinating hearings, and electronic file maintenance.
  • Review and processing designated terminations.
  • Completion of standard separation agreements as requested.
  • Employee relations intake and assignment/escalation as needed.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assists with and or responds to Tier 1 employee relations questions and assists with and/or handles Tier 1 employee relations investigations with appropriate oversight.
  • Utilizing independent judgement, provide strategic advice to managers on workforce matters with mid-level complexity.
  • Guide managers in assessing need for and developing teammate-related communications including corrective action and termination documentation.
  • Intake human relations questions/matters/investigations and assign/escalate to relevant HR Relations team member.
  • Strategize with managers in improving work relationships and resolving teammate concerns.
  • Investigate teammate grievances with mid-level complexity.
  • Evaluate value of dispute resolution to resolve workplace conflicts.
  • Assist with and/or respond to Tier 2 associate relations questions and draft severance agreements.
  • Prepare and finalize employment action and investigation documentation.
