About The Position

Meta is seeking a Partner Engineer to join its AI Partner Engineering team, focusing on building and launching new Generative AI product services and experiences. This role involves collaborating with strategic partners and major cloud service providers to transition Large Language Models (LLMs) from research to production. The ideal candidate will engage with influential companies, work closely with engineering and AI research teams, and represent Meta at industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, technical consultant, or partner/sales engineer.
• 5+ years of experience in Deep Learning, LLMs, NLP, Speech, Conversational AI, AI-Infrastructure, and optimizations of PyTorch models.
• Software development experience in languages like Python, Java, Go, Rust, or C/C++.
• Experience with at least one LLM such as Llama, GPT, Claude, or Falcon.
• Experience with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Experience building cloud solutions on any cloud, including Open Source cloud stacks like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, and Docker.

Nice To Haves

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Solid understanding of at least one Deep Learning framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow, or MXNet).
• Experience building Deep Learning models for Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, or Recommender Systems.
• Experience presenting to technical and business audiences.
• Data science background with experience in data manipulation, model selection, training, optimization, and deployment at scale.
• Experience deploying production-grade machine learning solutions on public cloud platforms (like AWS).
• Experience launching a product/service or application into the market.
• Knowledge of Mobile/IoT for deploying ML models at the edge.
• Contributed to an Open Source project or participated in Kaggle competitions.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch generative AI solutions using Meta's Llama and other state-of-the-art LLMs.
• Understand Meta's AI and Llama architecture, frameworks, products, and their underlying implementation.
• Define and execute a strategy to drive adoption of Llama and other Meta's AI/ML platform offerings.
• Collaborate with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Meta's strategic partners on deep learning & Llama integrations.
• Serve as a subject matter technical expert, influencing partners and internal teams at Meta.
• Provide thought leadership and evangelize Llama & Generative AI services through blogs, whitepapers, and public speaking.
• Develop reference architectures, samples, and materials for the Meta developer community.
• Optimize existing generative AI models for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency with partners.
• Lead technical strategy and roadmap for long-term strategic partners with a high level of autonomy.
• Identify risks related to Responsible AI and drive involvement from necessary cross-functional partners.
• Plan, lead, and execute projects with minimal oversight from leadership.
• Communicate feedback, updates, and status to the team and relevant cross-functional teams.
• Create clear documentation, including technical specifications and best practices guides.
