About The Position

The Partner Dock Specialist helps to ensure the productive, safe, and effective operation of the Partner Pickup Dock and supports the overall dock operations. This role is the primary interface with volunteers on the Partner dock and with partner agencies that pick-up products at the 38th Avenue location. This position helps to manage the Fresh Food Center to minimize spoilage and waste for short shelf life items. Nice To Haves

  • Warehousing experience and/or stand-up/sit-down forklift experience preferred
  • Food warehousing experience a plus
  • Experience working with volunteers is a plus
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Primary liaison for volunteers that are working on the Partner Dock, responsible for training and ensuring a positive experience for all volunteers
  • Manages outbound products from the Fresh Food Center (FFC) and keeps records of weight of product taken by partners
  • Ensures safety of outbound products going to partners
  • Checks for compliance with partner vehicles to maintain food safety standards
  • Works closely with Partner Dock Lead to make sure all policies and procedures are being adhered to by both volunteers and partners
  • Ensure volunteers are complying with Partner Dock, FFC, sanitation, and Frozen/Cooler pre-picked cart procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining daily cleaning on both Partner Dock and within parts of the FFC area of the warehouse
  • Provides backup for other material handlers on the Partner Dock
  • Maintain American Institute of Baking (AIB) compliance and warehouse sanitation
  • Will operate some machinery such as forklifts (standing/sit-down) as well as electric pallet jacks (riding and walk behind) to perform several of the above listed functions
