About the position

As the PDM Lead Venture Capital & Private Equity, you will have the unique opportunity to help scale our Venture Capital & Private Equity Program globally. You will create, refine, and optimize a strategy designed to grow engagement of Drata’s usage within the startup and growth equity space. You’ll work closely with Drata community development, marketing, sales, and other teams at Drata to create a model in which the best startups in the world can thrive on our platform, specifically through the use of discounts and partner engagement strategies. You have a data-first approach and will be expected to continually test, observe, and refine your efforts to improve how we engage with and support our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing a strategic approach with major VC and PE firms in the startup ecosystem and work closely with their portfolio companies to help them scale with Drata
  • Define the partner model and GTM plan and launch new engagement model for highly aligned Drata partners
  • Define target partner segments, identify the best route to market, capacity and coverage planning, and identify key milestones
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gain agreement on the GTM plan, so that it will have support for funding and implementation multiple internal organizations including sales, marketing, services, and product marketing/management organizations
  • Execute on demand generation activities throughout Drata’s prospect and existing customer base
  • Continually improve the process for developing and delivering the way the partner model is taken to market

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business development, corporate development or venture capital background
  • MBA or equivalent executive-level experience a plus
  • Deep experience and knowledge within the startup ecosystem as a founder, investor, or advisor
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, discriminate between critical and non-critical requirements, and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Provide proactive, meaningful insight & identification of long-term or overall aims and interests and the means of achieving them
  • Uses a framework or process by which to make decisions
  • Bring others to their point of view using your strong communication skills, logic, data, emotion and presentation skills
  • Being willing to answer for the outcomes resulting from their own choices, behaviors, and actions
