About The Position

This position will be hired within the Kansas City metro and will report into the office 3 days a week. Working with corporate in-house counsel, the Partner Contracts Manager will review, draft, and negotiate legal and commercial documents and contracts, including reseller agreements, distributor agreements, data protection and privacy agreements, master services agreements, subcontractor agreements, RFPs, non-disclosure agreements, and sales quotes. The Partner Contracts Manager will ensure contracts and documents comply with Optiv policy and escalate any exceptions. The Partner Contracts Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timing and commercial needs are met. The Partner Contracts Manager is responsible for administrative tasks related to each contract, including signature routing, creating and maintaining records in Optiv’s contract management system, and documenting any non-standard terms. How you'll make an impact: Responsible for contractual drafting, analysis, editing, negotiating, and execution of all types of moderate and mid-level information technology and services contracts to ensure each document precisely reflects Optiv’s intent and complies with Optiv policy. Possess a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards used to minimize Optiv’s risk and liability in contractual relationships. Use proper document change management practices to ensure transparency and trust with internal and external stakeholders. Identify and implement improvements to documents and processes that increase efficiency and reduce Optiv’s risk. Ability to perform work under general direction and participate in determining objectives of special projects as assigned by management; work is reviewed upon completion for accuracy in meeting objectives. Plan, schedule, and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives and work assignments Responsible for timely execution of tasks. Assist in maintaining a complete and accurate centralized repository of legal documents. Effectively communicate Optiv’s position directly with internal stakeholders and external customers and vendors. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Paralegal or contracts administration experience, including contract review and negotiation, preferably in private sector settings.
  • BS/BA/paralegal degree
  • Strong understanding of common commercial contracting concepts, including: limitation of liability, indemnity, product licensing, warranty, assignment, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills, including the ability to weigh and articulate the risk and benefit of various scenarios and propose effective resolutions
  • Willingness to take on additional duties in a growing company.
  • Familiarity with information security and compliance regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with federal contracting would be a plus.
