About The Position

The Partner Consultant at Xero is responsible for driving the adoption of Xero's cloud-based platform within accounting firms. This role combines consulting and sales, requiring the consultant to engage with stakeholders to uncover opportunities and present tailored solutions that address specific challenges faced by firms. The position involves significant travel, with up to 40% of time spent in the field meeting prospective partners and hosting events, while the remainder is conducted remotely.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting or public accounting experience
  • CPA Certification
  • Strong knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice and its systems
  • Enthusiasm for the emerging cloud accounting market
  • Ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships and create rapport with stakeholders
  • Results-driven mindset with strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work cohesively with the partner sales team
  • Outstanding communication, planning, and presentation skills
  • Capacity to learn, adapt, and apply ideas in changing situations

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Xero solutions in a pre-sales context to accountants and bookkeepers
  • Work closely with external stakeholders to ensure deeper adoption of the Xero platform within accounting practices
  • Collaborate with the sales team to deliver business plans for partners
  • Engage in regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to manage pre-sales and project priorities
  • Assist partners with data conversions through detailed project planning and training guidance
  • Handle partner technical questions and escalations
  • Educate partners on available resources
  • Update CRM system with all client communications including calls, emails, and meetings
  • Maintain and update CRM system of all practice staff and contact details
  • Respond in a timely manner to all partner inquiries
  • Manage the creation of resources for frequently asked questions from partners
