About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Communications, the Partner Communications Strategist II will work to enhance brand awareness and engagement across multiple audiences, including caregivers, their employers, industry partners, legislators and SEIU 775. This role involves crafting compelling messaging for digital and print platforms, managing media relations and PR efforts, and collaborating with internal teams to develop branded materials. The Partner Communications Strategist II will also use their skills to support leadership and cross-functional teams and manage events and multimedia projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, similar field or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, communications or related field.
  • Effective writing and copy-editing skills, with the ability to maintain brand consistency and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication channels
  • Experience providing communications support to leadership, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and handling media interactions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work both independently and as a part of a collaborative team
  • Experience creating and executing content across multiple channels, including web, social media, email and print
  • Experience coordinating in-person and virtual events
  • Proven ability to build relationships with external vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to brand standards and alignment with project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement diverse messaging strategies to enhance awareness and strengthen the perception of SEIU 775 Benefits Group
  • Create and curate compelling content for internal and external communications across digital, social, print and presentation platforms
  • Collaborate with teams and partners to craft targeted messaging and branded materials that support our organization’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives
  • Lead media efforts by building relationships with strategic partners and PR agencies, crafting press releases and pitches, responding to media inquiries and preparing stakeholders for media engagements
  • Oversee photo and video creation, including caregiver recruitment, coordination, onsite support and asset post-production and management
  • Provide strategic communication support to Senior Leadership, including branding, presentations, reports, and newsletters and messaging
  • Support virtual and in-person annual all-staff events, and other special events such as board meetings, employer sessions and caregiver events
  • Work closely with the caregiver communications team to ensure messaging consistency, brand alignment and the identification of storytelling and promotional opportunities
  • Manage and audit LinkedIn and Glassdoor
  • From time to time, perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position.
