About The Position

The Partner Care Specialist will steward a group of mid-level donors and other donors into deeper fellowship with our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ by sharing information about the ministry and the stories of these believers and their overcoming faith. This position leads donors into a broader understanding of biblical persecution and a deeper commitment to the ministry of servanthood as biblical disciples within their circle of influence.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in pastoral care, ministry, customer service, or missions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to discuss sensitive issues objectively and non-offensively concerning the ministry without inserting personal bias.
  • Discreet and careful communication with respect to keeping VOM work- and personnel-related information confidential.
  • Must be a biblical disciple.
  • Must participate in the spiritual life of the organization.
  • Agree with and adhere to the VOM Statement of Faith.
  • As allowed under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Must live within a 1-hour radius and office at VOM’s headquarters in Bartlesville.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Overseas missions experience.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate appreciation contacts with mid-level and other donors through phone, mail, and written communication, including thank you letters, cards, and emails to churches, groups, and individuals.
  • Answer calls, respond to emails and letters from donors and potential partners about VOM’s ministry, including International Ministry, ways to be involved, current events, informing and equipping through products, and more.
  • Proactively pray with those who ask for prayer and regularly offer to pray for needs when speaking with constituents. Conduct follow-ups with donors when applicable.
  • Understand and appropriately articulate VOM’s mission statement, policies and procedures on discussion topics, and the biblical view of persecution.
  • Read and understand all assigned VOM resources to share stories with and recommend reading to assigned constituents.
  • Develop strong relationships between VOM and constituents so that relationships remain strong even if a constituent moves from one flock (caseload) to another or drops out of a flock. This includes making an effort to get the constituent's church involved with VOM by subscribing to the magazine, downloading the VOM app, offering resources through the Church Leader Network and more.
  • Conduct tours of the HUB and the Welcome Center for visiting guests, volunteers, walk-ins and new VOM staff members. The tour concludes by encouraging visitors to subscribe to the monthly magazine.
