Part-Time Zoo Maintenance Worker - Horticulture and Forestry

The Part-Time Zoo Horticulture and Forestry Maintenance Worker is a semi-skilled position and responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks relating to landscaping and grounds maintenance (may require some contact with animals while working on exhibits).
Requirements
- EDUCATION: A high school diploma or GED is required,
- EXPERIENCE: 2 years of horticulture experience.
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Valid Kansas Driver's License
Responsibilities
- This position will take care of the landscaped areas as well as mowing and general horticulture maintenance within the Zoo facilities.
- Tasks include but are not limited to mowing, trimming, edging, pulling weeds, planting flowers, fixing drainage issues and light irrigation repairs (replace broken head etc..)
- This position may require some contact with animals while working on exhibits.
