About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Provider to join our healthcare team, focusing on providing specialized care for patients with chronic or acute wounds. The role involves assessing, managing, and promoting healing for patients while ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate level degree as APRN or PA.
• Currently licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.
• Ability to work independently and make accurate, quick judgments.
• Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
• Completes Wound Care Certification upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an APRN or PA preferred.
• Active patient contact within the past three years preferred.
• Wound care experience is preferred but will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assesses and evaluates the condition of acute and chronic wounds.
• Performs wound consultation, wound care, debridement, and advanced wound modalities.
• Orders, performs, supervises, and interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Initiates and manages wound care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
• Monitors and documents wound healing progress, including measurements and photographs.
• Educates patients and their families on wound care techniques and preventive measures.
• Maintains records and charts in a timely manner.
• Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintains skills and knowledge relevant to wound care.
• Coordinates care for patients living in a care setting.
• Organizes work schedule and patient visits.
