About The Position

Rutgers University-Camden is seeking Professional/Research/Manager Casual -Part-time Working Group Members for the Walter Rand Institute ( WRI ). The Working Group member will support the WRI research team and Camden CoOp Leadership Team with the following, but is not limited to: participation in team meetings/discussions as needed (e.g., 1 meeting per month that will be no longer than 60 minutes in length); providing feedback of survey and focus group question guides, report(s), and dissemination plans; and being ambassadors in the Camden community and assisting with outreach and recruitment for primary data collection (e.g., surveys and focus groups) The Working Group member will assist in identifying and providing contact information of organizations or individuals who can share the survey, host focus groups, and engage in outreach and recruitment of those organizations and affiliated individuals for focus groups and survey distribution. Members are expected to actively participate in outreach efforts by initiating contact with at least one new organization or individual per month. The Working Group member can provide ideas and/or suggestions on locations and physical space for hosting focus groups or other community members and residents and organizations to contact. The Working Group member will also assist in giving names and contact information of key stakeholders that Rutgers researchers will reach out to for survey and focus group data collection. Only Rutgers research staff will engage directly in the data collection (distinct and separate from outreach and recruitment) and data analysis. The Working Group Member will also provide ideas, guidance, and expertise around how to thoughtfully engage and respectfully work with the community to participate in the survey and/or focus groups to understand the perspectives of the community. This position is grant funded and contingent upon the availability of supporting grant funds.
