About The Position

Job Description: Part-Time Warehouse Clerk will work as part of the warehouse team; to receive and pick materials for use in the manufacturing and sales processes. During both processes this role will verify material readiness for consumption and raise a flag if it is not at the standard set by the organization. This role is the first point of contact for material and has a large ownership of material making it into the fabrication process “clean” by organizational expectation. This individual will report to the Warehouse Lead and work up-to 30 hours per week. L&L Fabrication is an ASME Code vessel shop Holding U and R stamps. We offer ASME-coded work built to spec, along with repairs and maintenance on used pressure-rated equipment. Requirements

  • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
  • Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and other pieces of equipment as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of power and manual tools (Grinder, Bander, & Other)
  • Strong reading and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of general warehouse best practice.
  • Analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Ability and Willingness to work to Quality Control Manual.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Softwares, and learn various computer programs. (MS365, SmartSheet, Paylocity, etc.)

  • Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any given time, up to 75 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally or team lift.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and loading/unloading areas.

Responsibilities

  • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from deliveries; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies per company policy.
  • Receives orders from the Warehouse Lead and/or Plant Manager and retrieves goods from warehouse per documentation.
  • On Receipt - checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.
  • On receipt – Verifies PO versus Packing Slip per Organizational Systems (ERP and PM lists)
  • Cross department collaboration to create a material transaction flow.
  • Maintain Pack slips, MTRs, and all receiving documents per the Quality Control Manual
  • Mark All Materials per Quality Control Manual
  • Be the frontline for stopping bad materials from entering the facility and start the return or identification process as quickly as possible.
  • Participate in all inbound/outbound parts activities while on shift.
  • OWN the materials awareness and knowledge of the facility.
  • Provide a SAFE team member that is accountable, respectful, and empowered to introduce new opportunities for getting the job done.
  • Ability to operate forklift (Variety of equipment)
  • Willingness to change priorities and follow direction quickly to accommodate workflow or work requirement of facility.
  • Willingness to prep materials and assist shop personnel in project completion.
  • Other duties as defined by supervisor, or leadership.
