About The Position

The Tile Shop is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling customer orders from stock and placing them on pallets or shelves. You will sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Additionally, you will complete all paperwork pertaining to inventory, including shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS. Ensuring complete accuracy of store inventory at all times is crucial, as is labeling all orders and back stock clearly. You will also participate in the cycle counting program and load and unload customer vehicles, ensuring proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer after loading of product. Processing incoming freight trucks in a timely manner and using equipment, including forklifts, to move inventory are also key responsibilities. You will inspect equipment to maintain good working order, record amounts of product received and distributed, and be accountable for the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Finally, you will enter records into the computer and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Strong work ethic
  • Forklift certification or willing to be certified
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of proper safety measures
  • Ability to manually move and lift 50lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work Saturdays on a 5 day work week schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to assemble customer orders from stock and place order on pallet or shelves.
