VCA A Breed Apart is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited, 5-doctor practice in Pasadena, California. Position available for a part-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant. Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as stress free handling, digital radiography, administration of vaccines and medications. The ideal candidate will also possess great attendance, client communication skills and superior customer service skills, attention to detail and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. Salary will be based on the level of experience. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining medical records.
- Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
- Filling prescriptions.
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
