About The Position

Island Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, progressive 3 doctor companion animal general practice in Savannah, GA. We've been serving the community since 1973 and have a loyal client base and excellent tenured staff. We offer many services to provide the best and most comprehensive care to our patients including Wellness Services, Preventative Care, Walk-In Urgent or Sick Patient Care, General Surgery, Digital Full Body and Dental Radiology, Ultrasound, Full In-House Laboratory, In-House Pharmacy, Cold Therapy Laser, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding, Grooming & more. Savannah, Georgia is a charming Southern escape where art, period architecture, trendy boutiques and ghost stories are all set under a veil of Spanish moss. Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
  • Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
  • Active Veterinary State License.
  • USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in soft tissue surgery.
  • Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator.
  • Experience preferred; at least 1 year of Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a relationship with our clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
  • Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
  • Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
  • Help to continue developing the support team.
  • Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
