Position Purpose Associate Veterinarian (Part-Time – Weekend Coverage) – Hilltop Family Vet, Alachua, FL You’d do anything for your family — and so would we. We’re currently on the lookout for a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to help anchor our weekend schedule — ideally Saturdays, with opportunities to add Fridays or Sundays if you'd like a little more time in the clinic. Requirements

DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution.
Active and in-good-standing Florida veterinary license.
DEA/BNDD eligibility.
Strong communication skills — whether it's explaining diagnostics or dishing out dad jokes.
Professionalism, reliability, and a genuinely kind approach to patients, clients, and coworkers.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (more with help — no heroics required).

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, comprehensive care to companion animals — from nose to tail.
Perform physical exams and interpret diagnostic tests with precision.
Recommend and administer treatments, including surgeries and medications.
Guide pet parents through wellness, treatment plans, and end-of-life decisions with empathy and clarity.
Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
Uphold veterinary ethics and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
