About The Position

The Part Time Vehicle Operator position at M1 Support Services involves operating various types of vehicles to support section operations at Sheppard AFB, TX. The role requires performing daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing timely transportation services for aircrew. This position is part-time and may require shift work as needed.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of all aspects of vehicle care and maintenance is required.
• Knowledge of the safety precautions to be observed while operating vehicles on the flight line is required.
• Completion of high school or the equivalent is required.
• The ability to read and write is required.
• Possession of a current Texas or Oklahoma driver's license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily maintenance and inspections of vehicles using AF Form 1800 as a guide and reports discrepancies to vehicle mechanics.
• Maintains vehicles in operational condition.
• Complies with driving, fire prevention, and safety precautions at all times.
• Provides timely aircrew flight line taxi service.
• Reviews safety directives at least monthly to remain knowledgeable.
• Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company directives.
• Maintains work areas in neat and orderly condition and keeps vehicles clean and waxed.
• Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental, and safety programs.
