About The Position

The Part-Time Vacuum Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of vacuum systems and related equipment. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability of vacuum systems. Working Location: Southside of Louisville, KY. Please note: The working arrangement for this role is Ad Hoc and hours will vary on a week in and week out basis. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience working on vacuums and other tennant scrubber and cleaning machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical/electrical technology preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, seals, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on vacuum pumps, valves, gauges, and associated components.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in vacuum systems.
  • Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory as needed.
