About The Position

The Part-Time Universal Banker at Oklahoma Educators Credit Union (OECU) is responsible for assisting members with financial transactions, including cash handling and account management. This role involves contributing to sales goals through product promotion and relationship building, while also managing the loan processing cycle. The Universal Banker will float between branches as needed, providing exceptional member service and developing new business opportunities.

Requirements

• High School education / GED or equivalent experience in banking.
• Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork.
• Experience in cash handling activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Solid analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in banking (1 year preferred).
• Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
• Well-developed sales, cross-selling, and referral skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with financial transactions involving cash and negotiable instruments.
• Open new accounts and relationships with members.
• Manage the entire loan processing cycle, including application analysis and processing.
• Contribute to sales goals by selling products and services to members.
• Handle member transactions quickly and accurately, including teller transactions.
• Generate leads through cold calling and follow-up calls to members.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of OECU products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Cross-train in various Lending/Operation areas of the credit union.

Benefits

• Pay range of $14.00 - $16.00 per hour.
• Flexible scheduling with Monday to Friday work and weekends as needed.
