About The Position
The Li Reactive Water Group at Penn State University is seeking motivated undergraduate researchers to join their team in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The group focuses on addressing critical water challenges related to climate change and human activities. Research areas include understanding and predicting water quantity and quality responses to climate extremes such as wildfires, droughts, and floods, as well as human impacts like urbanization and agriculture. The group employs a variety of methodologies, including big data analysis, process-based hydrology, reactive transport modeling, and machine learning techniques to analyze trends and patterns across different scales. Students will collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and are encouraged to apply regardless of their academic background, as the group values diversity and inclusion.
