WRAL-TV is seeking a part-time Broadcast Technician to join their award-winning team. This role involves performing various news production duties, including audio board operations, camera operation, and studio setup. The ideal candidate will work closely with producers and directors to ensure high-quality broadcasts while maintaining a collaborative and organized studio environment.

  • Perform audio board operations and audio setup during broadcasts.
  • Assist in the set-up and tear-down of production equipment, including cameras and lighting.
  • Operate studio cameras during live broadcasts, following director's instructions.
  • Use vest-mounted Steadicam for dynamic shots as needed.
  • Manage the teleprompter system during live broadcasts.
  • Assist in setting up and adjusting studio lighting using a light meter.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio and work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to the broadcasting technician role.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and directors.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately from producers and directors.
  • Capability to make prompt decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move equipment weighing a minimum of 40 pounds.
