About The Position

The City of Woodburn is seeking a part-time Transit Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation services on weekends. This role is essential for supporting residents, visitors, and workers in the Woodburn region, particularly those without reliable transportation options, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. The position requires a commitment to excellent service and adherence to safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience driving a bus or transit van with a wheelchair lift, or equivalent training and experience.
• Valid Oregon class B (CDL) license with passenger endorsement and air brakes.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish/English is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transit bus on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
• Assist passengers with disabilities, including the use of a wheelchair lift.
