About The Position
The Part Time Tour Guide position at the New York Power Authority involves conducting groups through Authority plants and visitor centers to provide information on the Authority and its energy sources through tours, lectures, and demonstrations. The role includes maintaining daily newspaper clipping files and performing basic routine maintenance to set up and disassemble portable exhibits as needed. Tour guides may also assist the Senior Tour Guide. The Hawkins Point Visitors Center operates 7 days a week from late May through mid-October, and the Part Time Tour Guide will be expected to accommodate weekends as needed throughout the open season.
