About The Position

The Part-Time Teller welcomes members into the branch, providing friendly and helpful service to promote financial well-being. This role is responsible for achieving Credit Union and Branch goals for internal and external sales to both existing and potential members. The Teller builds rapport with members to cross-sell financial products and services, aiming to deepen relationships and foster branch growth while adhering to credit union policies and procedures. Key duties include accurately and efficiently processing a variety of routine financial inquiries, transactions, and service requests, as well as securing credit union assets, balancing transactions, and completing necessary reports.

Requirements

Availability to work 20-25 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:15am – 5:45pm and every Saturday 8:45am – 1:15pm at our Rogers branch location; non-exempt.
High school diploma or equivalent (or in active pursuit of with a specified end date).
One year of experience interacting with the public or serving customers.
Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
Effective communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal skills, and active listening skills.
Good decision-making skills and judgement.
Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
Ability to communicate with a diverse membership and employee population.
A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor.
Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

Nice To Haves

One year of cash handling experience.
Previous sales experience or strong interest in sales.
