About The Position

At Herring Bank, we build "Relationships for a Lifetime." As a Teller I, you'll be the face of the bank-helping customers with everyday transactions while delivering excellent service. This is a part-time, entry-level role of less than 30 hours per week and is a great starting point for those interested in growing within retail banking.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6+ months teller experience or 1+ year in customer service/cash handling.
• Strong math, computer, and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
• Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing accurately.
• Balance your cash drawer daily.
• Spot potential fraud or unusual activity.
• Assist customers with online banking (password resets, navigation, troubleshooting).
• Greet and serve customers promptly and professionally.
• Support branch opening/closing and security procedures.
• Promote bank products and refer customers to the right team members.
• Follow all compliance, policies, and procedures.
